Abstact

Mental disorder or known as schizophrenia is a very severe mental disorder. This disorder is characterized by positive symptoms in the form of delusions, hallucinations, confused thoughts, anxiety, and strange or hostile behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of family knowledge and the recurrence of schizophrenia patients at the Marzoeki Mahdi Bogor Hospital in 2021. Quantitative analytic research method with a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were 53 respondents. The way of taking the sample by way of total sampling is as many as 53 respondents. Data collection was obtained through distributing questionnaires. The data analysis used is Univariate and Bivariate. Research Results The results of statistical tests using the Kendall's Tau test showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and recurrence of schizophrenic patients, namely the ρ value = 0.025, meaning ρ value ≤ 0.05, Ha was accepted. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between the level of family knowledge and the recurrence of schizophrenia patients at the Marzoeki Mahdi Bogor Hospital in 2021. Suggestions are expected to have further research with the same research results in terms of increasing the level of family knowledge.
